This one gave me shivers, can almost feel the power of Christ…
I was forwarded this Jamie Kennedy Experiment video at work today…this guy is flat out funny and this skit is no exception. I love the people’s reactions (specifically that nobody says a word). I would bet that almost everyone got back in the pool though. ![]()

Our plans changed a bit this past weekend. Memorial Weekend is our annual camping trip to Como, CO. I think we’ve been going there for the past 5 years or so (Anita will correct me if I’m off one or two). We were all set for this year’s trip, we were in the middle of preparations on Friday night, when we got a call that informed us that the road to the campsite was covered with snow and wasn’t passable. A serious change of plans was in store for our weekend.
So what did we do? We improvised of course. Friday night was spent just trying to figure it out and get over the disappointment of a lost camping trip. Saturday we spent the afternoon with everyone who was going camping (as well as a few that weren’t) and barbecued at Paul & Leslie Foster’s house…followed by a couple poker games of course (and yes, Anita won one of them).
Sunday and Monday we headed down to my Granparent’s house in Cañon City. They spoiled us rotten and took us to the Royal Gorge on Monday afternoon. The weather was good and we had a great time. Not bad for a sudden change of plans. Here are a few pictures from the trip down south. Don’t miss the video at the end (Lindsay’s favorite part of the weekend I think).
My Grandparent’s Victorian House in Cañon City, CO
My Grandparents (Ross & Charlotte) posing with the kids.
The beginning of the Royal Gorge afternoon.
Lindsay, Logan & Kyle riding the carousel.
A great view of the world’s highest suspension bridge.
A little ”wildlife” (the Elk in the background too).
Who doesn’t love a petting zoo?
The Air Tram across the Gorge…did I mention I hate heights?
A little perspective for the video.
This is the Royal Gorge Skycoaster from across the Gorge.
It’s the same ride as at Elitches, but swings out over the Gorge!!
Here’s the video of Lindsay and me riding the Royal Gorge Skycoaster. We both kind of talked each other into it, but I was impressed that Lindsay went through with it (although she wanted to back out a few times). You’ll note in the video that she is the one that pulls the rip cord. The video doesn’t really do the ride justice…it swings you out over the canyon…an awesome experience…and one that I got to share with Lindsay!!

All in all a great weekend salvaged from what I thought was going to be a bummer!! You just can’t go wrong spending time with family and friends. A memorable Memorial Weekend…one for the memory banks.
Anita sent me this video last night and it is hilarious! There are actually five of them in this series, but this one is by far the funniest. Couldn’t help but share…enjoy…
P.S.: I noticed yesterday that the videos aren’t showing up here if you’re not using Internet Explorer, so if that’s the case for you, here’s a link it on YouTube. I’ll add the YouTube link for all future video posts…wouldn’t want to exclude anyone from the fun! ![]()
One of my favorite things is watching people get shocked. Don’t ask me why, it’s one of my many little quirks. It doesn’t even have to be real. I don’t understand it, but it cracks me up every time. It’s one of the reasons that The Taser is one of my favorite posts of all time (and one of the most popular posts on Journeyman Journal).
In that vein…here is one of the best videos on this topic I’ve seen. This is a guy who willingly submits to being shocked with an electric dog collar (the kind that’s used to stop dogs from barking). This thing has six levels…make sure you make it to the last one (assuming you can still see through the tears by that time). Hilarious!! And remember…he’s doing this willingly…
This video was sent to me at work yesterday and I just had to share! There is nothing like some good old fashioned British bathroom humor…and even better when Cagney & Lacey are involved. There is nothing graphic here (even safe for the family), but if you have any aversion to flatulence you might want to pass on this one. Otherwise…enjoy…
As a follow-up to my previous post about Craig Ferguson being the best late night host (IMHO)…and to test what is hopefully my now working polling feature…here is a poll (also on the sidebar) so that you can express your own opinion. Below the poll is my not so veiled attempt at influencing the vote. ![]()

Move over Jay Leno. Get back Dave Letterman. Who’s the best Late Night Talk Show Host?
Craig Ferguson…bar none!
I wish his show wasn’t so late, but his monologue is hilarious. I honestly think he is much better than any of the other three hosts (not even sure how Conan O’Brien manages to stay employed).
To prove my point, every now and then I will be posting a clip of Ferguson’s monologue. Here is the first installment. Enjoy!
I saw this story on a fellow blogger’s website (Robert’s Blog) and I think it’s a great story to share. There is a little church in Charlotte, NC (they meet in an AMC Theatre) called Kinetic Church. As is the case with many small churches, this church had all of their stuff in a moving trailer. Long story short…the trailer was stolen. Now the typical reaction to having your church trailer stolen would range from anger to outrage.
But not this church. They have the right response…can’t say it would have been my response, but I’m learning from their attitude, their sense of humor, and their attitude of forgiveness. You can read more of the details on their website, but essentially this church wants to meet the person(s) that stole their trailer–for all the right reasons. In this effort they have taken a two pronged approach: billboards and the Internet.
Click here for an example of one of their billboards…gotta love a sense of humor!
Here is the YouTube video from their pastor. I absolutely love and am convicted by this response (makes me want to visit this church):
Continuing with the “Video Week” theme, here is my new favorite comedian, Tim Hawkins, with a new twist on some contemporary worship songs…
