Yes, my man Mike Huckabee is officially out of the race for the Republican nomination. It was a sad day we all saw coming awhile ago. I can’t say I like the nominee we got (he was about fourth on my list), but he’s the guy now and I will support him, just not with as much enthusiasm as I might have a few other candidates. Such is life.
I do admire the campaign Mike ran and I admire the way that he is leaving the race. He is out of the race, but he is not down about it any way, shape, or form…and he is still sticking to his spiritual and life principles. I’m also interested watching what’s happening on the Democratic side as well. If nothing else, this year has been more fun to watch on all sides…and it isn’t even close to being over yet.

In this episode, Mike and Chuck briefly discuss The Fairtax. At best, this will wet your appetite to learn more about The FairTax, which is a bill in Congress that would eliminate the IRS and all Income Tax and replace it with a national consumption tax (think national sales tax). Not really sure what all the commotion is about, but the ad has gotten plenty of extra running time thanks to it. Here is Huckabee’s response to the reaction the ad has gotten…be sure you listen to the last minute of the video, he makes a great point:
I’m sure everyone (all 2 ofyou) have been wondering who I’m going to officially endorse for President. Well, the wait is over…I’m getting behind Mike Huckabee for President. There are many reasons (which I will cover in a future blog), but I’m not the only one. New Man Magazine has endoresed Huckabee (click here to read the article) and so has Chuck Norris (do you even need another reason?).
