As I was reading Psalm 8 this morning, the following verse caught my attention:

“You have taught children and infants to give you praise,
silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.”
Psalm 8:2

Kind of encouraging don’t you think? If children and infants can praise God–and have that kind of influence in their praises–think about what you and i can do with our praises!

But then I got to thinking that it’s also a little convicting. Am I praising like a child? Or have I allowed the world to taint and shape my praise? Am I praising God like a child–purely and innocently? In this case, it seems acting like a child might just be the way to go!
